My Approach

My journey as a funeral director started in large funeral homes. But I wanted to make a difference by offering more affordable options to families. By cutting out unnecessary overheads, I'm able to provide you with thoughtful, cost-effective services.

I do not run a funeral home, but instead make use of public facilities and local partners to help families in their time of need.

Facilities

Wellington Hospital Mortuary

The Wellington Hospital offer space in their mortuary to the public for a fee. If someone has died in the hospital the use of their mortuary carries no additional costs.

Embalming

In Wellington, we're fortunate to have skilled embalmers who work with multiple funeral homes. When needed, I collaborate with them for tasks like when I need help dressing and other skilled aspects to ensure your loved one looks their best.

Wellington Cathedral of St Paul

  • Wellington Cathedral of St Paul

    The Cathedral is a contemplative space, open to anyone in need, and I am there helping with their event management.

    Meetings spaces are availabe within the Cathedral where you can come and see me to make arrangements, drop off or pick up items, or just pop in for a chat.

  • The Lady Chapel

    While you can have a service at the Cathedral, you will need to work with one of their priests to conduct an Anglican funeral.

    The Lady Chapel is an intimate space where families can come to spend time with the departed, or hold a small funeral service.

  • The Nave

    The Nave

    The Cathedral Nave is a vast but welcoming space, capable of seating over 800 people.

    It is an ideal space for choral music, and the cathedral’s fine organ and Steinway grand piano are available for use. This venue is also often used for large public conferences and art / photography displays.
